Massachusetts College of Art and Design

The Massachusetts College of Art and Design (also known as MassArt) is a public institution of higher education located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is one of the oldest art schools in the United States, having been founded in 1873. The college offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of art and design disciplines, including fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interior design, and photography. The school also offers a pre-college program for high school students, as well as continuing education classes for adults. MassArt has a strong reputation for its fine arts program, with notable alumni including Matthew Ritchie, Paul Klee, and Nam June Paik. The school also has a long history of social and political activism, with students and faculty often engaging in community outreach and public art projects.
